Family get away
Ann, Samantha, Holly and Darien with their two
friends Hayley and Genevieve and
family members Roy and Carol took a break in the mountains and headed to
Mosquito Creek to do some hiking. |

We stayed at the Mosquito Creek Hostel. Here Ann is preparing breakfast

Darien was already up and armed with his game machine. |

The girls finally made an appearance once breakfast was on the go. |

The start of our trek into Bow Falls starts with a walk towards Num-Ti-Jah
Lodge and the trail head beyond. |
|
Our intended hike was to go to Helen Lake but the trail was closed due to
bears frequenting the area.
Next choice was Bow Falls
"The Bow Glacier Falls trail presents an interesting half-day walk to the
foot of an awesome cliff and waterfall at the literal headwaters of the Bow
River. Featured along the way are the placid waters of Bow Lake, the gravel
flats and moraines of the Bow Glacier outwash plain, and a narrow gorge
spanned by a natural bridge."
